The JCSP funding for this initiative provided our school with an opportunity to link with a local Celebrity Chef. Justyna from Sweet Nothings came to school to teach students more about plant based cookery. This activity introduced an imaginative and innovative dimension to plant based cooking for students. Justyna brought the raw materials to make some of her specialities and all students got the opportunity to make their own delicious vegan, gluten free and refined sugar-free desserts.
Justyna also spoke to the students about the use of sustainable products wherever possible, focusing on organic produce. The students and their teacher agreed that this was indeed an interesting and informative experience and Justyna was delighted to meet and work with the students.
