Due to ex Hurricane Ophelia, the handover which was expected on Monday, is likely to take place on Wednesday October 18. We are pleased to report that the school is almost finished. The classroom furniture and the student lockers have arrived. The final stages of WiFi and Broadband provision will happen this week. Teachers will be using iPads as a learning and teaching tool, as well as for administrative purposes. We will need 2 days for moving to the school and for ICT training. Changes to the schedule of the student return to school, will issue by Wednesday.
It will take some time, before the school is completely fitted out, and all amenities are available. The provision of a canteen service is at the planning stage. In the meantime, the shop will continue to operate. The provision of seating for the GPA will seek to serve the needs of our student population and is likely to be temporary at first. The school will work with the supplier to get the best possible provision.
The landscaping at the front of the school is remarkable. Plans are afoot to further enhance it with an artistic feature, via the Pert Cent for Art scheme. The development of the play areas in the yard is expected to be complete by mid-December. It is truly an exciting time for the entire school community. We look forward to settling in to the remainder of the term, and the rest of the school year, giving of our best in all aspects, in the spirit of our motto; Lux, Pax, Felicitas.
