This year TYs travelled to Dublin and parts of “Ireland’s Ancient East” in March. Visits included Kilmainham Gaol and the National Waxworks Museum in Dublin, Newgrange and Knowth, Navan, Slane Castle and NUI Maynooth among others. These visits consolidate learning already taking place in the history, geography, ecology, art, business, biology and other classes in school.
This trip was also an opportunity to spent time together as a group away from school as we enjoyed team-building activities, excellent food and lovely accommodation.
We are all very grateful to Ms. Keating for organising the trip. Thanks also to the teachers who came with us – Mr. Aherne, Ms Seery, Kate and Ms Keating. The experience was a memorable one.
