Tony O’Reilly visited our school last week to deliver a powerful talk based on his harrowing personal journey from a £1 bet to a multi-million-euro gambling addiction.
During his talk, he shared the story of how he stole €1.75 million from his job to fund a habit that eventually cost him his home, his family, and his freedom.
Tony uses his lived experience to educate students on the "normalisation" of gambling in the digital age and the hidden dangers of "losses disguised as wins". His talk was described by students as "eye-opening".
