The main focus for TYs this month was the week spent on Work Experience. One of the greatest benefits of being in Transition Year is that it affords students the time and opportunity to gather "real- world" work experiences. This first work placement provides the opportunity for students to develop key employability skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication and time management that are primordial in the world of work. Clifden Community School would like to express our appreciation to all host organisations who welcomed our students for the week. Student found placements in various sectors, such as retail, education, hospitality, health and sport.
