Clifden Community School Sports Day 2026
Clifden Community School had its annual Sports Day last Wednesday. There was a fantastic sense of energy, teamwork, and fun around the school that day. Despite a few brief showers throughout the day, the weather was mostly sunny with a bit of wind!
Students from all year groups took part in a wide range of activities, showcasing both their athletic ability and their enthusiasm. Events included traditional races, novelty games, and team challenges, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. From sprint races to the relays and tug-of-war, the friendly competition created a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
The occasional rain shower did little to dampen the mood, with students and staff alike embracing the conditions and continuing the activities with great determination and good humour. When the sun broke through, it added an extra boost to what was already a memorable day.
A special thanks goes to the PE department for organiing and also to the teachers who helped coordinate the day so smoothly, ensuring that all events ran efficiently and safely. Their hard work was key to making the day such a success.
Overall, Sports Day 2026 was a wonderful celebration of community spirit, participation, and fun. Well done to everyone who took part and contributed to making it such an enjoyable event!
