CSI in Schools:
Just before Christmas last year Transition Year students participated in a forensic science workshop: “The CSI Experience” .
This interactive workshop saw the students dealing with practical and theoretical work on the day including trace evidence, fires, shoe prints, fingerprinting, suspicious death, DNA, police photography and the court system.🔬 🧬
In the afternoon, there was a practical Crime Scene Investigation where students were given a mock crime scene and they were then able to put to use the information and instruction they had received in the first part of the day as they worked together as a team to carry out the investigation and subsequently solve the crime.❗
This is the fifth year that CSI have worked with TY students in our school and is always very well received and it is a workshop that Transition Year students look forward to every year.😊
