In March, three transition year students attended the TY online programme with the UCC School of Applied Psychology. This event has become one of the most sought-after TY experiences for students considering a career in Applied Psychology. Unfortunately demand far exceeded the places available so not all interested students were offered a place.
During their intensive few days, the students met lecturing staff and postgraduates, getting to see and experience Psychology in a virtual college setting.
The TY initiative aims to give students a taste of both the BA Applied Psychology (CK120) and the new BA Applied Psychology & Computing (CK121), open their minds as to the kind of careers they might like to pursue, and help them to make an informed decision when choosing their third level programme.

"I thought it was a very good well organised event. It was very cool how it was more interactive and we all worked on projects together with real research we conducted ourselves. I think it would've been much better if we could've been there in person but of course given the circumstances that wasn't possible. I really enjoyed this event! Would recommend."
