JCSP Readalong
A number of 1st Year students are participating in the JCSP Readalong with their English teacher, Ms Maloney. ’Readalong' is a short term reading intervention where students read a book while listening to the book being read to them. Readalong supports students in reading for pleasure. Other 1st year students will participate after Christmas.
Our chosen book is “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” by Mark Haddon.
This book is about difference, about being an outsider, about seeing the world in a surprising, revealing way.
Interesting also - the book uses prime numbers to name the chapters rather conventional successive numbers.
The images show the first two chapters of the book. This is a book that people of all ages will enjoy reading.
