You may be interested to know that a piece of art will be installed at the front of the school during the mid-term break. The project is financed by the Per Cert for Art scheme, which applies to newly built Government buildings. Following an open competition via e tenders, artists Maree & Mark Hennessy were commissioned to provide the piece.
Maree and Mark will be visiting the school next Monday and Tuesday, and will provide both information about the project and what it represents, as well as workshops, to our teachers and students. They are also available to talk to you, about the project.
Some parents have expressed a wish to know more about the New Junior Cert, so that they can support the student at home, in the progression of their learning. With this in mind, together with Maree and Mark's offer to share information about their work, a meeting will take place on next Monday, October 15th, at 4:30 pm in the school. The presentation by Maree and Mark Hennessy will be from 4:30 to 5:15, followed by information on the New Junior Cert from 5:15 until 6.
It would be helpful if you could let us know if you intend to come to this meeting, to assist with planning for a suitable venue.
