TY students took part in a NUIG research project entitled: “Students’ perspectives on barriers to higher education access and teaching as a profession”.
This workshop, facilitated by Ms Lisa King aimed to explore the perspectives of TY students in relation to access to higher education and to help support their understanding regarding accessing higher education and the teaching profession.
The research was conducted on Tuesday 2nd March. Participating in this research involved completion of an online pre-workshop questionnaire, participation in a live online workshop and post-workshop evaluation. Students benefitted from participating by gaining valuable information regarding access routes to higher education, useful information which is directly applicable to students as they enter their Leaving Certificate course next year.
Many thanks also to Ms King who facilitated the workshop.
