As temperatures are on the rise for the next day or two- we are reminding our students and school community to be very careful and mindful around water and the sea.
-
- Stop and think.
- Stay together.
- Check the tides.
- Have means of calling for help on your person.
- Telling someone where you are going and what time you will be back at.
- Always wear a life jacket appropriate to the water activity.
- If caught in a rip current stay calm and swim parallel to the shore.
- If you find yourself suddenly in the water, lie on your back, arm stretched out and gently move your arms and legs, catch your breath and then call for help.
- Call 112 or 999 and ask for the Coast Guard if you see someone in trouble.
