U17 MATCH VS Colaiste an Eachreidh, Athenry
The U17 lads soccer campaign came to an end today with a 4-2 loss to Colaiste an Eachreidh, Athenry. Clifden CS performed the best of the two teams in the first half and could easily have been leading at half time if they were more clinical in front of goal. Our opponents went ahead 1-0 after a cross turned shot ended up in the net but Clifden soon equalised after good work from Eoin McDonnell and Alex Conneely. Oisin Maher and Zak Mulkerrin went very close to putting us in the lead.
The next goal decided the game as our opponents went into control once they got their second. They added two more to make it 4-1 and Milosz Olchowy got a consolation goal near the end after a good header from Joe Boote. Great work rate shown by all against a physical team. Well done to all squad members who played throughout the group games. Excellent effort!
