Transition Years recently undertook a law course delivered by Galway barrister Mr. James Fahy BL. He visited the school in early October and talked to students about all things connected with the law. The course, which demystifies the law, encourages students to gain an understanding of how the Irish Law System works.
The day was very well received by students who agreed that it was a very worthwhile intervention. The morning session looked at the civil side of things whereas the afternoon looked at things from a criminal prospective. Mr Fahy’s law education workshop is very interactive and there were many discussions, a mock trial and some very funny true stories from Mr Fahy. Overall, it was a very informative, lively, witty, interesting workshop and educational activity.
