Transition Years in Clifden Community School were very busy over the last number of weeks preparing for their TYs Got Talent Show. On Thursday evening the 12th December the students offered a hugely successful performance of the much loved classic Treasure Island (with a CCS TY slant of course!). The performance was very well attended and received by members of the community. The performance ended with a standing ovation for the wonderfully talented cast. the production carries on proud tradition of TYs Got Talent in the school.
The performance was the culmination of five weeks of intense rehearsals by dedicated students and staff. The show marks an important even the school calendar and is seen as integral to student development in our school. Auditions took place to cast leading roles, but participation went beyond this. Virtually every TY student and many staff members were involved, working tirelessly on set design, stage construction, sound engineering, lighting, choreography, backstage management, costumes and makeup, props, advertising, tickets, programme and raffle.
The show was an outstanding success and there is great credit due to all involved especially the students whose talent, commitment, enthusiasm and hard work ensured that it was of the highest standard.
